Evonetix is a start-up company which is set to revolutionize de novo gene synthesis as needed to facilitate the fast-growing and incredibly exciting field of synthetic biology. Our technology is based upon a novel silicon array, manufactured with semiconductor microfabrication techniques and capable of independent control of many thousands of miniaturized reaction sites, allowing massive parallelism of the DNA synthesis process and on-chip DNA assembly with integrated error removal.

We have recently closed our $30M Series B funding round and recently moved to a state-of-the-art facility in central Cambridge, allowing us to undertake significant recruitment to enable the development of our commercial DNA synthesiser.
Our novel approach to DNA synthesis and assembly is set to revolutionise what is possible with a desktop DNA synthesiser. One of the key components to this system will be the cloud application for designing and managing DNA sequences for synthesis on our instrument, as well as applications and systems that will support the commercial, sales and support teams, as well as internal development of our instrument.
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous QA tester to join the Cloud Engineering team to ensure delivery of high quality, accurate and robust cloud-based software. The ideal candidate is organised, methodical and professional with the experience necessary to take ownership of the QA function within the team. You will be tasked with developing a QA process that not only safeguards the quality of our applications, but also fosters a "quality culture" in which all team members become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production and the finished product.
You will work within the software engineering team to plan and deliver several greenfield applications and systems to support the business objectives, with the opportunity to work on bioinformatics tools, and ecommerce systems.
This is a unique opportunity to join early in the product lifecycle to help shape the direction of our cloud platform and development practises, and to work on the development of a unique third-generation gene synthesis platform.
